Fish and Chips | Tefal Recipe

Savour golden crunch fish fillets and crispy chips, air-fried to perfection. Serve with lemon wedges and tartar sauce for a mouthwatering meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets of white fish
  • 120g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 200ml beer or sparking water
  • Oil spray or olive oil
  • 800g frozen chips
  • Salt and pepper
  • Lemon wedges
  • Tartar sauce

Method

  1. Prepare the batter by mixing the flour, baking powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a recipient. Gradually add the beer or sparkling water, mixing until you have a smooth batter.
  2. Dip the fish fillets in the batter, making sure they are well coated.
  3. Place the fillets in the appliance. Start cooking using the nuggets program for 12min at 200 degrees.
  4. Turn them over halfway through cooking so that the fish is evenly browned and crispy. Open the handle with both hands and remove the fish from the appliance.
  5. Place the chips in the appliance. Start cooking using the fries program for 30min at 180 degrees.
    Shake halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
  6. Open the handle with both hands. Pour the chips into a bowl and season.
  7. Place the fillets in the appliance. Start cooking using the nuggets program for 3min at 200 degrees to reheat them.
  8. Serve the fish fillets immediately with the crispy chips, lemon wedges and tartar sauce or mayonnaise.
